We're at it again, folks!  We are moving!  Well, we will move, once we have a place!

For those of you following us, you may have noticed we have moved twice already this year.  We fledged the nest (left the CAPRE office) in February when we moved to the lower level of the ArtCan Gallery.  Ron is very kind to us and we enjoyed our time working in his large, creative space!  As is the nature of seasonal businesses, the ArtCan has opened its cafe for the summer season (which is fantastic -- we can't wait to visit for chocolate milk and sweets!), which made space tighter and resulted in us moving out.  We knew this was a possibility when we entered into the arrangement.  The ArtCan was a perfect launching pad after leaving CAPRE for the first time!

So, in April, we moved next door, to Fisher Sheffield, where Michael Fisher, supported by Karen Conrad, runs his used clothing store.  Mike also provides garbage collection and plant watering services to the town, mail and lunch deliveries to local businesses, and a dog walking service (with up to 5 dogs, last time we saw!).  Karen worked very hard to prepare a space for us in their building, and we greatly appreciate that!  The two businesses have coexisted well there and it has been a pleasure to work closer with Mike and Karen!

We recently were given notice that the Fisher Sheffield building has sold, so we are now looking for another workspace to rent.  We LOVE working in Canning and it would be ideal to stay here, as Brendon lives here and the CAPRE office is here on Main St.  We also enjoy supporting various local businesses and appreciate the support the community has given us.  However, we are looking for spaces in Wolfville, Kentville, New Minas and in between.  We are interested in sharing spaces with other businesses (either CAPRE-supported businesses or not).  We would also be willing to take a previously-unused space (or unconventional "business" space) and revitalize it to fit our needs.

As you know, Mr. B makes tie-dyed clothing, Beasty Biscuits and Crazyons.  For clothing production, we need a sink and electrical outlets.  We are able to use the CAPRE office for production of the Beasty Biscuits and Crazyons, but for interests' sake, we need an oven for those items.  As you can imagine, tie-dyed clothing can be a messy business!  We currently use surface coverings and drop cloths and have yet to make a serious mess in any of our workspaces -- but the possibility is there.  We also need a workspace with access to a washroom.

Mr. B's Enterprises is a small business.  We have made gains but in some ways are still in the developmental stages.  We currently pay rent and plan to continue to pay rent, but are interested in establishing an agreement (perhaps on a sliding scale) based on our revenues.

The mission of the business continues to be Brendon.  Mr. B's Enterprises is meant to be a stable vehicle for his passions and creativity.  To this end, we are looking for a long term or (semi-)permanent arrangement where Brendon can comfortably exercise his creative noodle!

Please comment below or contact us at mr.bs_enterprises@live.ca or 582-1280 if you have a space, know of a space, or have any advice in general!

Your help is greatly appreciated!

Yours in crazy colour,

Brendon and Vanessa
