RIP Mr.B's Beasty Biscuits
Mr.B's Tees has been lacking on posting because we've been busy with business!
Last week we visited Applewicks in Wolfville, where Brendon set up a consignment arrangement.
We are excited to announce that you can now find Youth and Baby clothing and accessories at Applewicks-L'Arche in Wolfville. There are many reasons to visit Applewicks. They offer Candles, weaving and crafts. Below we have provided some history and definition of Applewicks- L'Arche homefires. The info used came directly from the L'Arche Website.
L'Arche Homefires began in Wolfville, a small University town located about one hour west of Halifax in Nova Scotia, in 1981. We are a community of 5 homes in the local area, a candle making workshop (Applewicks), a day Program (Cornerstone) and a small retirement program (Discoveries). We sell candles and weaving in our store on Gaspereau Ave. Presently we provide home for 20 core members (people with disabilities) as well as welcoming assistants from many countries of the world.
L'Arche Homefires is an ecumenical Christian community with members from many different faith traditions. We focus on the importance of our relationships with each other. We provide support and guidance for people and we receive a great deal from the people we serve. We perform the daily tasks of living together, cooking, celebrating, shopping, and meal preparation. In L'Arche we see the importance of doing things with people rather than for people.
Mr.B's Tees is excited about the relationship that has been established with Applewicks. Both businesses have the passion for creativity and color! What a perfect match :)
If you want to know more about Applewicks- L'Arche, please check out their Facebook Page!
A BIG Thank you from your tie dye experts,
Brendon and Vanessa
Hi Tie Dye Fans!
Mr.B's Tees has a lot of updates for you!
Last Friday Mr.B's Tees made a new consignment arrangement and after the team went up the the Look Off for ice cream. If you have never been to the Look Off in Canning, it's a must see! The view is breath taking. Brendon and I talk a lot about how lucky we are to live where we live. Canning has so much to offer and it's beauty is one of a kind. We both adore living in Canning. We get so inspired by all the nature and colors of the land. We drive to the Look Off for many reasons 1.to take a breather from all the business work we do 2. Observe the colors and how they change each season and 3. to maybe have a little treat. But this time when we went to the look off we had a discussion with some staff, we told them about Mr.B's Tees. They are interested in carrying Mr.B's Tees this coming season. We are so excited and wondering why we didn't make the connection earlier. But this just shows how supportive our community is and we are grateful for that.
We are wondering where you live and what you love about your community. Please comment below, we would love for you to share. :)
Mr.B's Tees is a CAPRE supported enterprise. Not sure what CAPRE is?? Keep reading... :)

Each step of Tie Dye is essential and crucial to the quality of the finished product. If you skip or rush any steps you are compromising the end result of its full potential. Mr.B has been tie dying for over 3 years now and every time he tie dyes he learns something new and improves his style. We have posted some videos of Mr.B tie dying on our Mr.B's Tees Facebook Page (We encourage you to check them out!) just so you have an idea of how he does it, because everyone does things differently.. including tie dye.
One of our favorite parts besides applying the color dye, is rinsing. We get so excited over seeing how the products turn out. It's like unwrapping a present on Christmas... the anticipation can be so intense sometimes! We rinse out each individual product until the water runs clear of color. We remove any elastics or string that held the item together, then transfer the product to the washer. Mr.B then measures out some of our special detergent and pours it into the washers over the colorful rinsed items. He then turns on the machine and then we wait. Once the wash is complete Mr.B transfers the items to the dryer or we hang items out to dry if the sun is shining. When the items are finally dry we get to look them over closely and admire the art pieces we created. We still get surprised with our end results of our tie dye. We are always looking to try new techniques and enjoy producing classics.
If you have any questions about our process of tie dying or want to know more, please comment or email us!
Thank you for reading!
Brendon and Vanessa
PS- We would like to send a HUGE THANK YOU to Leah's Clean and Green. We have a partnership with Leah and they allow us to use their facilities for our rinsing processes. If you would like more info about Leah's Clean and Green Laundry Service please check out the CAPRE Website! www.capre.org
Mr.B is all about recycling. He and I both love finding something and using it for something else in a creative and innovated way. For example our t-shirts are all retrieved from second hand sources and given a second life with colorful designs. Our Crayzons are made from donated old, broken crayons.
We truly believe there are lots of white tees and items that have lost their crisp white color and have over time, become dingy. Our goal is to retrieve all those abandoned unwanted items, and recreate them for new owners to show off and enjoy!
We recently made a connection with the Flower Cart through their donated clothning sector to set aside white articles of cltohing for Mr.B's Tees. Last Friday we went for the first time browsing through the bin. It was a delightful experience for Brendon (Mr.B) because he saw lots of friends and also was able to inspect the clothing, and the prices are remarkable.
We are always looking for more second hand sources as our supply relies on our sources. Mr.B's also accepts donations. If you are going through your own articles of clothing or your children's and you have 100% Cotton old Tees or white articles and don't know what to do with them, please give us a call. We can pick up the items or they can be dropped off to the CAPRE office at 9822 Main Street Canning.
Mr.B's Tees also provides the services of dye renewals. If you have a favorite t-shirt and it has a stain or two we can renew it for you, so you don't have to throw it out. You and keep the shirt alive and look great for a low price! Our custom renewals range from $10.00-$30.00 depending on item size and weight. Please visit our "Order" page or send us an email: email@example.com
Thanks for reading,

Hi There supporters!
On Wednesday Mr.B's Tees attended the Kentville Farmers Market. The sun was out, music was being played and we were surrounded by amazing food aroma. It was a great day with great conversations. This is the typical experience of attending the farmers market. It's truly a beautiful thing. So we dare to mention Christmas but its quickly approaching. When thinking about where or what to purchase a special something for the special people in your lives consider supporting small businesses. In Canning there is Lee's Shop. Lee's shop carries a variety of hand made items from all over the world including yours truly Mr.B's Tees. Mr.B's Tees are sold at the following locations: Limitless Wolfville and Greenwood, Retro Runway Fashions in Wolfville, The Magical Closet in Kentville. We have partnered up with theses other small businesses to support one another. Brendon has made strong business relationships and we hope to continue to make more.
So when you're doing your Christmas shopping and your driving by your small businesses, go in, check them out and see what they have to offer. Your support in your local businesses which will in return support your community.
Today Mr.B made a trip to the post office to ship a Tee off to British Columbia. He gets really excited about sending packages off to customers. We are consistently trying to improve our site and facebook page to make our products easily accessible for our customers where ever they are. We hope to have a instant shopping cart and pay pal option up and running in the near future. If you have any other suggestions or concerns about Mr.B's Tees products and/or purchasing online, please comment below or send us an email! We would LOVE to hear what you think, so we can provide you with the best Tie Dye services :)
We are always trying to improve our services and to spread Mr.B's Tees everywhere.
Mr.B is wondering where one of his Tees will head next??
